LLink: A Program for Opening Links to Local Files and Folders
LLink is a free Chrome extension developed by xitsoft. It falls under the category of Browsers and is classified as an Add-ons & Tools subcategory.
LLink is designed to open links to local resources such as files and folders. The program follows a simple algorithm to achieve this functionality. First, users need to install the Chrome extension and the accompanying desktop app.
Once the Chrome extension is installed, it analyzes the content of websites and identifies strings that resemble links to local files, such as "c:\windows". It then adds a new class to these strings and provides the option to copy them to the clipboard.
On the other hand, the desktop application listens to the clipboard and if it detects a string that resembles a link to a local file, it opens it using either Explorer or Total Commander.
